About Adopt-A-Grandparent

Compassionate Care Senior Services and Franklin Home Health Agency welcome you to participate in our new community program, Adopt-A-Grandparent. We recognize that our senior community members are at a larger risk of experiencing isolation and depression. We hope that by offering this program to the community we will be able to bring younger and older generations closer by giving them opportunities to engage and learn from each other through written or virtual (call/text) communication. In addition to bridging generational gaps, this program is also creating other opportunities for community members to help our seniors by offering an online wish list linked with items our senior clients are in need of. We hope for all of our clients to feel the love of their neighbors and community members with the launch of this new program. How to get Involved

Option 1

Complete our adoption questionnaire linked below to get matched with one of our senior clients in our care. Adopted families will be required to communicate with one another on a weekly basis through ONLY written or virtual (Call/Text) communication.

At this time, neither virtual (Facetime) or in-person visits are authorized at this time to prevent HIPPA violations or privacy concerns.

Option 2

Click on our Amazon wish list link to shop for items are senior clients have requested. With most living on fixed income, having extra funds to purchase extra items they might need or to replace old items can be difficult. By purchasing an item off the wish list, you’re helping our seniors receive some much-needed items and showing that their community cares about them.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can participate in this program?

Anyone can sign up to be an Adoptee regardless of age, gender, or family size. We welcome anyone who wishes to connect with one of our senior clients.

Can I sign up my grandparent for this program?

Not at this time. The program will be extended to the community in the very near future. Please be sure to check back in for updates.

Does participating in this program cost anything?

No, signing up to participate in our Adopt-A-Grandparent program is completly FREE. There is however an option to purchase items on our Amazon wish list that our clients have requested that they otherwise would not be able to get themselves.

How do I get matched with a Grandparent?

Once your completed community questionnaire has been received, our team will review all responses to find the best match based on the responses. All parties will be contacted to confirm the match being made and provide all relevant contact information in order to initiate communication.

What if I have an issue or concern about my grandparent /program?

Any issues, concerns, contact information change, or request to stop participating in program should be directed to Program Director, Kelci Ward.
